Our Story
Maritza Marie was founded in early 2020, inspired by the path and legacy set by women throughout history, and the passion, determination, and versatility they have consistently displayed over the years.
Women across the globe have adapted, juggled multiple roles, and re-defined themselves consistently over time; living boldly, defying odds, and making their mark. This perseverance will undoubtedly continue for generations to come, so Maritza Marie asks: Why can’t the future chapters of womanhood be written and executed in beautiful, comfortable heels?
Answer? It absolutely can be.
The designs are innovative yet minimalist and comfortable, allowing the body to do what it should do and embracing women’s ability to do what they do best: live, thrive, and keep on moving. They are a mix of classic style and cutting edge, a variety ranging from casual outing, to big meeting at the office, to date night, to spotlight on me. The materials are meticulously sourced from across the world and crafted with love and pride in leading factories with expertise in art and design and commitment to excellence.

Our Founder
Maritza Berger is our Founder/Designer. When she was young Maritza’s grandmother taught her how to sew, what started as a bonding experience between grandmother and granddaughter sparked a lifelong passion and interest in fashion and design. These little sewing projects gave birth to hundreds of sketched designs and led to countless shopping trips.
Her formal training commenced at Florida State University in 2005 when she entered the Apparel Design and Technology program. While a small northern Florida city may not scream “fashion” while there Maritza enhanced her knowledge and supplemented her love of fashion with strong education in textiles, merchandising, and product development. In addition to formal education, Maritza has always been actively involved in community and professional organizations. Her Junior year, she joined the professional business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi. This led her to change her major to Business Marketing to gain a broader skillset to enhance and advance her career. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Marketing in 2009.
In her ten-year long career Maritza has worked in a variety of sales and marketing roles across various industries while serving as Chief Operations Officer for a start-up design label created by one of her FSU classmates which specializes in men’s and women’s upscale fashion with a southern flare.
2020 marked a year of change and growth for Berger, prompting her to pursue her long-time goal of having her own fashion line, and like that, Maritza Marie was launched.
As a millennial woman Maritza has always found love in a new pair of heels and as a woman on the go, balancing her career, social life, hobbies, and self-care, she’s always loved a versatile wardrobe item and a pair of fabulous shoes that can get her through the day. For Maritza, shoes are more than just something you have to wear, they’re a literal support system and a statement of who you are and where you want to go in the world.
Maritza is thrilled to see her zest and acumen for fashion materialize and she can’t wait to share Maritza Marie with the masses and to watch you tackle the world in her phenomenal footwear.
